Myron Beasley is an Associate professor of American Studies and Gender and Sexuality Studies at Bates College. He is also a non-profit and foundation consultant, and curator. He is also the author of Performance, Art, and Politics in the African Diaspora<\/a>. His book outlines his interest in the intersections between art, cultural and social policy, and human rights. Myron\u2019s writing and ethnographic research about art and cultural engagement has been acknowledged by The Andy Warhol Foundation, the Whiting Foundation, the National Endowment for the Humanities, and the Reed Foundation, to name a few. His areas of expertise are intercultural communication, human rights, arts, and social justice policy, with particular skills in organizational leadership, strategic planning, writing and research development, mission-driven philanthropy, non-profit assessment, and DEIA development and training.
